About Natasha
Hello! My name is Natasha Moonka and I am a Licensed Clinicial Mental Health Associate in Washington State. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University.
I am second-generation Indian American who grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and have lived across the US before calling Seattle my home. After over a decade working at big Tech companies (Google, Expedia, Realtor.com, etc.), and struggling with perfectionist driven burnout, anxiety and depression, I realized I found more fulfillment and passion in learning and teaching others about mental health.
My dual identity as an Indian American led me to explore cultural identity issues and family dynamics to heal my own childhood wounds and solidify my own values and identity in the pursuit of peace. I would love to help you start to do the same and am honored to help provide representation for underserved populations in the field of mental health. I believe the families we come from, the community we are raised in and the cultural influence that surround us all matter in creating our sense of self.
My style is warm and approachable but direct. I integrate solutions focused skills to help you find short-term relief while we work through and explore deeper beliefs and challenges to improve your quality of life. I believe this approach helps you create both immediate as well as lasting change.
In my spare time, I love trying new food, spending time with my dog, throwing pottery (no I am not good at it, but that's ok), and spending time in nature whether I am gardening or swimming.
